Art is a Manager of Business Development working with BDO's groundbreaking Outsourcing Services team in the Guelph office, with over thirty years of professional experience introducing new products and services to Canada's business community. With a national focus, he serves as a resource to our Solution Consultants and Practice Leaders, and works closely with these trusted advisors to optimize BDO resources and consultants' time. This critical role ensures that our team's expertise and experience are leveraged to meet our clients' needs.

Art has many years of experience as a small business owner, helping to build a start-up tech company to more than 100 employees with several branch operations across Canada, and ranking as one of Canada's Top 50 Best Managed Companies in 2000, 2001 and 2002. During that time he held several senior management roles, and concentrated on building national distribution and retail channels on behalf of their vendor clients, introducing their products and services to the Canadian marketplace from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. More recently, prior to joining BDO, Art spent five years working with independent business owners in Southwestern Ontario to help shape legislation with federal, provincial, and municipal governments through his work with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

Art is involved in the community through his work as a volunteer mentor to young entrepreneurs at the Guelph-Wellington Small Business Enterprise Centre. His further mentorship has also helped Guelph's youth through his thirty plus years coaching in the Guelph Minor Hockey Association, and his time spent with the Junior Achievement Program in the Guelph Public School Board. Art was also a board member for the Parc Place Condominium Corp.
