BDO Canada’s Suky Cheema recognized as a top Business Leader on business in Vancouver’s 2nd annual BC500 list

Vancouver – BDO Canada is pleased to announce that Suky Cheema, Western Region Real Estate and Construction practice leader, has been named an influential business leader on Business in Vancouver's BC500 list, under the Real Estate: Residential Development and Investment category. Now in its second year, the BC500 list features leaders who have made a notable impact on British Columbia's communities, industries, and economy.

“We're thrilled that Suky has been recognized as an influential leader in B.C.'s real estate industry and congratulate her on this accomplishment,” says Michael Madsen, GVA's Office Managing Partner at BDO Canada. “Her ability to listen, learn, and deliver exceptional client service and results are just a few of the reasons why she makes a wonderful colleague, advisor, and leader in her field.”

With over 20 years of experience, Suky Cheema has spent her career managing the financial interests of landowners, land developers, property managers, and residential and commercial landlords. She assists her clients with audit and accounting services, capital funding, financial modelling, financial projections, and domestic and international tax planning and tax structuring. She has helped her clients with commercial, retail, office, industrial, and residential property developments in Canada, the United States and internationally. In addition to her private company clients in real estate and construction, Suky also works with clients in retail, distribution, manufacturing, and professional services.

“It is a great honour to be named among this incredible list of smart, talented individuals who support and contribute to building B.C.'s economy in various ways,” says Suky Cheema. “The last few years have been an incredibly unique time for real estate in B.C., and it has been wonderful to work with buyers, sellers, realtors and industry professionals alike to help them navigate and pivot to keep up with the market.”

Suky Cheema has shown consistent dedication and commitment to producing results and maintaining strong client relationships. While working hard to help her clients reach their goals, she continues to help build and strengthen BDO Canada's connections in the real estate and construction community.

She also lends her skills and expertise to several committees, including the Urban Land Institute of British Columbia as Treasurer, the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia as a Council Member, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and the Community Impact Real Estate Society as a Member and Board Member.
