August 15, 2018

TORONTO, ON — When BDO Canada LLP became the official 2018 Innovation Sponsor of the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC), the goal was to help aerospace companies grow, thrive, and innovate.

In this new technological era of Industry 4.0, which is transforming the industrial and manufacturing world in profound ways, aerospace manufacturers are faced with a whole new set of opportunities and business challenges. In light of this major industry transformation, the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC) welcomed the opportunity to have BDO Canada LLP as its official 2018 Innovation Sponsor.

Through the partnership, OAC member companies can leverage professional advisory, tax, and accounting know-how to access new funding programs, increase productivity, adopt new technologies, and attract new partners. An active and long-standing participant in the North American aerospace sector, BDO is an ideal sponsor.

According to OAC's Executive Director Moira Harvey, “BDO Canada has been a strong supporter for OAC and we are delighted that they wish to expand that role. The tools, guidance, and strategies BDO offers can help our members prepare for future growth, new business opportunities, and successful collaborations.”

The partnership has the two organizations collaborating on a variety of events, including webinars, workshops, and breakfast roundtables, as well as sponsorship of the OAC Beyond the Barriers Research & Technology Forum and OAC golf tournament.

“As we strive to offer our members access to resources and market intelligence from a comprehensive pool of experts, we look forward to continuing our work with BDO in developing specific content and programs for our members in response to their needs throughout the coming months” said Ms. Harvey.

Daniel Hlavacek, Partner at BDO, echoed the value of the partnership with the OAC:

“OAC members represent all facets of the aerospace community here in Ontario and we wish to see them benefit from BDO's collaborative and tailored approach. We also hope to continue to partner with OAC for the long term and work with their members to support a strong, vibrant, and vital industry sector to Canada's economy.”
