Montréal (Quebec), May 18, 2017 – Yesterday, the Montréal office of BDO held its annual Community Day, with over 170 employees supporting their community – a new record for the Firm!
Working together, the staff at both of the Firm's Montréal offices gave a helping hand to the 11 organizations they selected, providing them even more support to achieve their goals. From dawn to dusk, over half of BDO's workforce in Quebec cooked, cleaned, painted and gardened to help relieve some of the burden faced by their chosen charities. This year, three organizations were added to the list of charities already supported by BDO: the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Le Chaînon and Share the Warmth.
“Collaboration and community support have always been key to BDO's culture. As active members of our community in Montréal and in Quebec as a whole, we believe in doing our part as an organization to achieve economic and social progress. The enthusiasm shown by our entire team throughout the day strongly reflects our determination to make a difference here, in Montréal,” explained Mina Farinacci, Managing Partner for the Province of Quebec.
To fund their projects, staff members held Jeans Days, during which they had the privilege of wearing jeans in exchange for a monetary contribution. Jeans Days took place each Friday from February to May 17th at the Crémazie Office and throughout April at the Downtown Office.
Below is the list of all organizations BDO Montréal supported this year:
Base de Plein Air Bon Départ (Canadian Tire Camp), Moisson Montréal, La Maisonnette des parents, Centre d'intégration à la vie active (CIVA), Centre Au Puits, La Maison Tangente, Centre d'hébergement de LaSalle, Hôpital de Lasalle, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Le Chaînon and Share the Warmth.
BDO would like to thank its generous sponsor, Le centre de jardin Brossard.
