BDO Dunwoody Challenge

GUELPH, February 14: On Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17, over 400 swimmers from 13 different clubs in Southern Ontario will be competing in the BDO Dunwoody Challenge, hosted by the Owen Sound Aquatic Club (OSAC). This two-day swim meet will be taking place at the University of Guelph’s highly acclaimed 25-metre short course pools at the University’s Athletic Centre.
The following clubs will be sending swimmers: Brock Niagara, Port Elgin, Barrie, Cambridge, Golden Horseshoe, Guelph, London, Lindsay, Orangeville Otters, Rocky Island, Waterloo Oxford, and Owen Sound.
The BDO Dunwoody Challenge is a popular swim meet with competitive swimmers of the various swim clubs in Southern Ontario as the meet marks the end of the short course season for many of the swimmers. Competitors are always hoping to end the short course season with some personal bests.
The many OSAC volunteers will be running 110 events over the course of the two days. Swimmers 13 and over will be competing in the morning sessions, with the top 16 in each of event returning to the pool each evening to compete in the finals. The younger swimmers, 12 and under, compete in the afternoon sessions.
