Filing an Objection to Your Notice of Assessment for Your Personal Income Tax Return

After you have filed your return, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will process it and send you a Notice of Assessment. If you disagree with your assessment and you are not able to resolve the issue over a phone call with a CRA Representative, you can initiate a formal process for dispute resolution by filing a Notice of Objection with the CRA.
