To gain a better understanding of the family-run SME landscape in Canada, BDO Dunwoody commissioned COMPAS to conduct a representative sample survey with the leaders of 1,000 small and medium-sized companies. This study examines the dynamics of family firms from their views on issues such as the benefits of mixing business with family, their exit strategies and the 10 unwritten rules that govern these entrepreneurial families.
