On July 30, 2008 and pursuant section 47(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended ("BIA") and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. C.43, as amended, BDO Dunwoody Limited was appointed as Interim Receiver of the Companies pursuant to an order granted by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List). As part of this proceeding, the Interim Receiver has been authorized to conduct a sale process on behalf of Riegers, with the view of selling the going-concern business and/or assets of Riegers or any part or parts thereof.
