Update on Proposal Approval - September 22
The proposal to restructure was approved at the creditor meeting held on Monday September 21, 2009. Approximately 270 family votes were received with 248 in favour.
The proposal is being filed with the Court for approval. The hearing is scheduled for 10am on Tuesday September 29 in the Kitchener Court.
Starting immediately, the new Board, Advisory Committee and BDO are discussing the transition for October 1, 2009. This includes proceeding with the staff hiring, issuing the renewal contract to families for signing and the $2,000 fee and discussions with foreign countries. There are many administrative matters also including banking, office space, computers, file relocate and family communication. As this will be our focus, family inquires prior to that time may not be addressed.
A further communication of status and progress will be prepared after October 1, 2009.
This BDO website will continue to be the communication method for the new organization.
