Executive summary
Dean has over 20 years of public accounting experience and is a partner in BDO's North Bay and Sudbury offices. As the practice leader for assurance and accounting in the Ontario Lakeland Region, Dean is responsible for ensuring regional compliance with BDO's A&A standards. He is also accredited as a BDO Assurance Specialist, which requires that he meet specific annual professional development and practical experience hours.
His industry specialties include school boards, hospitals, not-for-profits, municipalities, construction, automobile dealerships and rate-regulated entities.
Dean has lectured on financial accounting, auditing and taxation for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario's (ICAO) professional development sessions. He is the co-author of numerous ICAO professional development materials used in the delivery of annual PD sessions across the province.
