Gary is an income tax specialist in the areas of corporate reorganizations, purchases and sales of businesses and estate/succession planning. He has written taxation courses for The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario [ICAO] and is the co-editor of Taxation of Farmers and Fishermen, a national taxation service. During his 30+ years with BDO, Gary has served on many in-firm committees and outside professional bodies including, the BDO “National Tax Committee”, “The Taxation Committee of the ICAO” and “The Joint Taxation Committee of the ICAO and the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario)”. Other community-based activities include being a founding director of Bruce County Family Resource Network (A rural day care organization) as well as being a founding trustee of a 4H scholarship fund. He is also a former Director and Treasurer of the Children’s Aid Society of the County of Bruce.
