Joe is a general services Partner with over 24 years experience as a Chartered Accountant and is responsible for a broad range of audit and review clients in the fields of construction, not-for-profit, retail, service and professionals. Joe has been a lecturer in Intermediate Accounting at Algoma University College. He is the past Director and Chairman of the Finance Committee for Northern Credit Union Limited and is a Director of the Big Pro Hockey Tournament.

John has well over one and a half decades of insolvency and restructuring experience.

In his practice, John has conducted insolvency, consulting and restructuring assignments in various industry sectors including food service, hospitality, veneer manufacturing, ski resort, and a variety of retail establishments.

John also has extensive experience with consumer debtors in the bankruptcy and restructuring areas.

John has served the Ontario community as a board member of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario division for over eight years including serving as Treasurer for five of those years.

Joe is current or past director with Sault Ste. Marie Crime Stoppers and the Sault College Foundation and sits as an advisor to the Algoma Community Justice Centre and Barrier Free in Algoma Association.

Joe was approved by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada as BDO’s only Advisor in Ontario on Federal Government First Nation Third Party Management engagements.
