Jeffrey obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1987. He was one of the initial Chartered Accountants in Canada to be designated as a specialist in Investigative and Forensic Accounting and thus permitted to use the CA-IFA designation. He obtained his Certified Fraud Examiner designation in 1997 and his Chartered Insurance Professional designation in 1999.

Jeffrey has quantified and assessed property insurance claims involving business interruption, stock, extra expense and fidelity. He has provided litigation support on the assessment of loss of business and personal income claims and various other damage actions, including wrongful death and breach of contract.

Jeffrey has assisted insurers on over 2,000 automobile insurance claims involving benefit calculations under Bill 68, Bill 164 and Bill 59.

Jeffrey has qualified as an expert on numerous occasions and has testified in the Superior Court of Ontario and before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Additionally, he has been appointed as an appraiser under the appraisal provisions of the Insurance Act.

Jeffrey has server on CICA’s oral examination panels examining Chartered Accountants seeking designation as specialists in Investigative and Forensic Accounting. He has presented numerous seminars to property and casualty insurers on claim quantification and claims fraud.

Jeffrey has served on the Board of Directors of a significant property and casualty insurance company. He is presently on the Board of Directors of the ADR Institute of Ontario.
