As both Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator, Ms. Larkin has twenty years of combined public practice experience in the Financial Advisory services, audit and accounting, and taxation field. Currently, Ms. Larkin is An Associate of BDO Canada LLP’s Financial Advisory services practice in the Ontario Lakeland Region, assisting 21 offices in Central and Southern Ontario. Her practice is divided between providing the services of a Chartered Business Valuator to clients throughout the region and being responsible for managing and growing an audit and assurance practice in Huntsville and the surrounding area.
Ms. Larkin was previously a partner of Calgary firm Buchanan Barry LLP. Her practice expertise included tax and estate planning, coordinating, advisory services for the purchase and sale of businesses, corporate restructuring and public companies, and assisting in obtaining debt and equity financing.
Ms. Larkin had been responsible for valuation, fraud determination and damage quantification engagements in her firm. Although working in several industries, Ms. Larkin’s industry specialty is health care, with clients including professional corporations, the Alberta Medical Association and a public dental company.
