Yusuf A. Karbani is a Partner at BDO Dunwoody LLP, with over 29 years experience as a CA providing advice to entrepreneurial-minded businesses. With over 20 years experience as a Chartered Business Valuator, Yusuf is knowledgeable in the areas of Business Valuations and Investigative and Forensic Accounting, and works out of the Edmonton South office. Over the years, Yusuf has provided a wide range of Accounting and related services to a wide range of clients that he works with to spark new ideas and find innovative solutions. Yusuf has successfully assisted a number of clients with Business Valuations, Quantification of Economic Damages for Personal Injury Claims, and Corporate Litigation Support and Investigations.
Yusuf’s knowledge is demonstrated in his contributions as an expert witness on civil and criminal matters in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. He is involved in the community through membership in various boards and committees including Edmonton Community Foundation and the Edmonton Community Mediation Society.
In recognition of his contribution to the community and profession, Yusuf was awarded the FCA (Fellow of the Chartered Accountants) in 2004. He has been a presenter at seminars for Alberta Expropriation Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and has also been a seminar instructor for his firm in Auditing and Business Valuation courses.
