Greg Hocking has over twenty years experience in the financial advisory services practice area and is involved in insurance loss accounting services and litigation support and investigations. His assignments have encompassed a broad range of industries and involve companies located across Canada and the United States.
Since 1982, has conducted investigations involving the quantification of business and property losses, loss of income, expropriations, fraud and employee defalcations, personal injury and wrongful death, patent infringement, breach of contract, product liability and medical malpractice.
Mr. Hocking provided litigation support in commercial disputes, shareholder and partner disputes; and business income loss matters.
Provided, on numerous occasions, expert testimony on the qualification of business losses, property losses, loss of income matters before Superior Court of Ontario (formerly Ontario Court, General Division), Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick, Trial Division, and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Mr. Hocking has led several teams in the execution of Anton Pillar orders pursuant to civil actions.
Mr. Hocking has been appointed both as an Appraiser and Umpire under the Insurance Act and, on numerous occasions, has provided expert evidence in Appraisals under the Insurance Act.
Prepared and delivered to various industry groups seminars on the subject of business interruption insurance, loss of income claims, litigation support and fraud investigation.
