Face to Face

Meet us in person! Our national campus recruitment program holds a series of events throughout the year for the major colleges and universities we recruit at.

At each event, we answer your questions about BDO and discuss topics of importance to you, such as what training we provide for each level of soft and technical skill; how a BDO UFE Buddy will assist you in preparing for the UFE; how a BDO coach will mentor and assist you in your professional development; and the opportunity to participate in BDO’s various sport teams, network and mix and mingle with your fellow co-ops at our co-op social events.

Career Fairs & CA Nights

• Each school will host their own Career Fair or CA Night
• These are excellent events for potential co-ops and new grads to attend because you will be able to learn more about the Firm directly from a variety of Firm Reps
• There will be reps from various levels, from co-op up to and including Partners
• There will be reps from various practice areas and service lines
• The best way to find out more about the Firm is to meet with the Firm reps, they represent the very culture of the Firm and the work environment

Summer Events & Office Visits

• Summer events and Office Visits will play an important role in selling BDO
• Designated schools will attend a summer event or an office visit where staff and Partner involvement is critical. This day will included:
  • Speakers from each service line and level
  • Tour of office
  • Prizes and Delegate Bags
  • Cocktail Party/Mix and Mingle with staff

Student Workshops

• BDO may host a student workshop at the office or may participate in one on-campus
• Topics can include: Resume critiques and review; Interviewing skills; business etiquette; how to make the transition from school to work and Working Papers
• These are excellent events to learn very valuable soft skills as well as meeting the Firm reps

Information Sessions

• These sessions are typically hosted on-campus
• A Firm presentation is given at the beginning and the remainder of the time is geared towards meeting Firm reps
• Reps will be alumni teams from various service lines and levels
• It is typically a mix and mingle session
• This event is very important as Firm Reps base the majority of their recommendations and referrals on their interactions from this event
