2009 BDO Classic Canadian Open

The 2010 BDO Classic Canadian Open, the third leg of the men’s 2009-10 Capital One Grand Slam of Curling series (in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba), took place January 20 to 24 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.
The event featured 18 teams competing - including championship and Olympic medal winning skips - just four weeks away from the 2010 |
Vancouver Winter Olympics.
CBC Television aired the tournament’s quarterfinals live on Saturday, January 23 at 3:00 pm ET, followed by live coverage of the semi-finals at 7:00 pm ET on its digital channel, bold. CBC broadcast the final game live on Sunday, January 24 at 1:00 pm ET.
During the fourth end break of the game, CBC also aired the finals of the Capital One Million Dollar Button, a national contest that includes one Canadian selected to throw a rock to the button for $1 million CDN.
