BDO proudly sponsors Habitat for Humanity

MISSISSAUGA: The Mississauga office of BDO, one of the leading accounting and advisory firms in Canada, is pleased to announce its “Dream Come True” sponsorship of the Habitat for Humanity build in Brampton. The office donated more than $75,000 towards the building of a home in Hoskins Square in the area, for which construction is set to begin this summer and continue into the fall.
Over the last three years, employees from BDO’s Mississauga office have raised $81,228 to help cover the cost of building the home. They will also participate in its construction over eight days.
“Our staff’s motivation to support the Habitat for Humanity build is a true example of the BDO vision of one firm engaged to make a difference,” said Peter Campbell, Managing Partner at the Mississauga office of BDO. We fundraised for the Habitat for Humanity Brampton home with a range of activities including silent auctions, contests, and a bowling event that raised more than $63,000. We are really looking forward to helping with construction too.”
Thomas Fischer, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Brampton, stated: “These builds attract people from all walks of life, who come together to volunteer and donate their time and money to make home ownership a reality for Brampton families.”
