Pierre Shedleur joins accounting and advisory firm BDO

MONTRÉAL: BDO Canada LLP is pleased to announce that Pierre Shedleur, FCA, has joined the firm’s Montréal office as Senior Advisor, effective February 21, 2011. As such, Mr. Shedleur’s focus will be on the growth and development of the firm both in Montréal and throughout Québec. In particular, he will support the promotion of the firm, the development of new clientele, and the reinforcement of our service offering. He will also act as key advisor on vital projects.
Mr. Shedleur has significant experience as a business leader and has enjoyed successes both in the public sector and in private enterprise. Prior to joining BDO, Pierre Shedleur served for six years as President of the Société generale de financement du Québec (SGF), and also held key positions with Bell Canada and the CSST. As an active member of the community, Mr. Shedleur has seated on the boards of numerous foundations and has worked with organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross, Moisson Montréal, and Portage. He is a recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal, and holds the designation of Fellow of the Québec Order of Chartered Accountants.
