BDO honours Dean Decaire with C.F. Fleming Young Leader Award

BDO is pleased to award Dean Decaire, CA with the 2011 C.F. Fleming Young Leader Award. The esteemed honour was established last year in commemoration of Cecil Fleming, a past chief executive officer at BDO. The winning candidate each year will be a young leader — up to the age of 45 — who has demonstrated excellence in service and made achievements at BDO, within the accounting industry, and in his/her community. The Young Leader Award strives to honour leadership, innovation, philanthropy, and recognition.
Dean is a partner with BDO in the accounting firm’s North Bay and Sudbury offices with more than 15 years of experience serving clients in the not-for-profit, public sector, financial services, and consumer business industries. He also serves as the accounting and assurance practice leader in BDO’s Ontario Lakeland Region, providing technical support to its 18 BDO offices.
In addition to his extensive public accounting work, Dean is a course author and lecturer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. In 2007, he received the Nipissing University Award for Part-Time Teaching, having taught at its School of Business and Economics for over ten years. After graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University of Sudbury, he went on to earn his CA designation in 1998.
