BDO endows Service Award to UBC 'DAP' program

TORONTO: BDO Dunwoody has recently endowed a service award of $2,000 to recognize a student in the Diploma in Accounting Program (DAP) at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
“It is an honour for BDO to award the top achiever of one of the most respected accounting programs in the country,” said Keith Farlinger, CEO of BDO Dunwoody. “We congratulate all award candidates on their hard work and dedication and wish them great success.”
The BDO Dunwoody LLP Service Award is made on the recommendation of the Sauder School of Business to a part-time or full-time student enrolled in the DAP Program and demonstrates high levels of community service and volunteerism within the university or community. Award candidates must also demonstrate high academic standing in the DAP Program.
“We are pleased to present this award, on behalf of BDO, to our top DAP student whose generosity, determination and commitment to learning have earned them this recognition,” said Daniel F. Muzyka, Dean of Sauder School of Business at UBC.
The first BDO Dunwoody LLP Service Award will be available for the 2009-10 Winter Session.
